Joshimath tragedies: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said everything is normal in Uttarakhand. His statement comes amid the ‘sinking tragedies’ that have posed as a threat to hundreds of thousand residents of Joshimath. CM Dhami has said that confusion is being spread about Joshimath, adding 70 percent people in Joshimath are leading a normal life. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out wherever landslides have occurred in Joshimath, he added. He said that right now we are engaged in the preparations for the Chardham Yatra.

Everything is normal in Uttarakhand, the CM said. Regarding the situation in Joshimath, CM Dhami told that the people of NDRF, SDRF are deployed to help the affected. Along with this, work is also being done on rehabilitation works at a fast pace. He said that the Chardham Yatra of 2023 is to begin in Uttarakhand after four months. At such a time, this message should not go that the entire Joshimath area is unsafe. CM Dhami said that many misconceptions are being spread about Joshimath, which is not fair. He said that 70 percent shops are open in Joshimath.

PM Modi briefed on Joshimath

The Chief Minister said that he has informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the situation in Joshimath. The Center is also constantly monitoring the situation here. Let us tell you that cracks have appeared in 849 buildings in Joshimath so far. So far 250 families have been taken from there to safer places. In Joshimath, the Dhami government is rapidly engaged in relief and rescue operations.
