Ghaziabad News: Hurray! Namo Bharat Train Set to Link Duhai With Modinagar North, Check Details

As the Namo Bharat train prepares to expand its services to Modinagar North, learn about the most recent advancements in NCR transit.

Ghaziabad News: The Namo Bharat train’s route from Duhai to Ghaziabad’s Modinagar North station is being planned with greater vigour. The second section’s safety examination is now complete. The train was supposed to run to Meerut South station earlier, but the station’s construction will take some time to finish. In light of this, plans are currently being prepared to operate exclusively on the 17-kilometer corridor that leads to Modinagar North station.

CMRC Approval Awaited

This week, the CMRC might approve train service on the second stretch. Currently, a 17-kilometer stretch of the Namo Bharat train is run for passenger service between Sahibabad and the Duhai depot. Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot stations are located in this section. The basic part was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October.

The train’s testing run from Duhai to Meerut South station is now underway. The length of the second section is 25 kilometres. Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, and Meerut South stations are located in this section. The stations at Modinagar and Muradnagar are prepared. The station’s entry and exit gates are among the several projects undergoing swift construction.

Thorough Equipment Examination

Train equipment’s suitability is examined during a trial run. The trains in this section run at varying speeds along their entire length. There are trials being carried out for overhead supplies, platform screen doors (PSD), train signalling, etc. At this time, no flaw was discovered. Section two is now undergoing rail safety inspection. It should be finished in two or three days.

This week, permission to operate the train on the second segment can be obtained following the conclusion of the rail safety examination. The inauguration date will then be determined. With this in mind, ANISRTC has begun planning. According to sources, it will open in eight to ten days.

Main RRTS Route Operations

Since October, the train has been running on the main RRTS route. This segment is serviced by trains from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. There are over 3,000 passengers that ride the train each day. Once the train reaches Modinagar, the number of passengers will rise.

Namo Bharat will run in Meerut after Ghaziabad. It will thereafter operate in Delhi after this. Right now, Delhi and Meerut are seeing a fast increase in development activity. Within Meerut city, Metro will also operate on the Rapid rail. The Duhai depot is now served by Meerut Metro.

Weekend Operational Suspension

On Saturday and Sunday, the Namo Bharat train would not be operating for passengers. There will be no train movements on the main section. The secondary segment is linked to the major segment’s signalling. Train operations have been halted as a result. On Monday, passenger train operations will begin at the scheduled time.

It is also possible for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch Namo Bharat’s second phase. In addition, arrangements are being made for the arrival of the prime minister. Because of this, Meerut Commissioner Selva Kumari J. examined the Duhai depot a few days ago. Officials from the government and NCRTC may soon visit this location to examine the corridor, according to reports. Every day, over 3,000 people travel in the Namo Bharat train.

Revised Operating Plan

Modinagar North Station is located 17 kilometres from Duhai. The station at Meerut South is beyond this. Originally, NCRTC had only intended to operate the train as far as Meerut South station, however that station is nearly empty. The train can now proceed to the Modinagar North station in this scenario. The train will travel through all seven of the district’s stops during the second week of March. This will allow it to begin operating along a 34 kilometre long route in Ghaziabad.
