Many new expressways are being constructed across different states in our nation but a state that is enhancing infrastructure as well as promoting the culture is Uttar Pradesh and the biggest example is the newly built project Gorakhpur Link Expressway.

Uttar Pradesh’s CM Yogi Adityanath is working significantly to improve the connectivity within the state. The new project, Gorakhpur Link Expressway, attracts the eyeballs of people of UP as travel will become easier in the state and also the date has been revealed to open the expressway.

Gorakhpur Link Expressway opening date

According to a report by the Times of India, the Gorakhpur Link Expressway will be fully operational by the end of June 2025. Yogi Adityanath will be present at the inauguration of the expressway, and the CM will inaugurate the historic expressway.

The Gorakhpur Link Expressway is situated in the eastern UP and is approximately 91 Km long with a four-lane drive highway. The project is constructed at INR 7,000 crore. 

Gorakhpur to Lucknow travel will become easier

Gorakhpur to Lucknow travel will become smoother as the Expressway will cover some important districts, starting from Gorakhpur and will pass through Ambedkarnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Azamgarh will ensuring better connectivity and making the travel easier.

The travel time will be reduced to 3.5 hours to reach Lucknow from Gorakhpur with the help of the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. The Expressway will also boost the local businesses, and the property prices will boom in Gorakhpur after the Expressway’s operation.

The Gorakhpur Link Expressway will be connected to the Purvanchal Expressway and will help some districts like Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh and Gorakhpur significantly, according to the Times of India reports.

No official date has been confirmed yet by the officials to inaugurate the expressway, but the expected time is around the end week of June.
