As there is ongoing war between India and Pakistan, there is possibility of attacks by Pakistan in any part of the country especially border areas and capital of the country. As Gurugram is very close to Delhi, DC Gururam issued advisory regarding precautions to be followed during blackouts.

In the post, people are advised to switch off lights, be in safe places and be coperative.
What Activities to Be Followed?
• Don’t be nervous, be calm.
• Switch off all the lights and all the electrical equipment so that no light go outside.
• Choose safe place and take shelter on ringing the air siren.
• Keep ready a strong room without window
• Fix thick black papers or curtains on window
• Be away from the glasses/windows and lie down on floor if required
• Cover all the solar lights/ panels with black clothes.
What Necessary Goods Are To Be Kept Ready?
• Drinking water( for minimum 3 days)
• Dry foods (biscuits, dry fruits, gram)
• Torch and additional cells/batteries
• First aid kit
• Necessary documents (identity card, medical reports etc.)
• Small radio (battery operated)
How to Recognize Siren?
Different types of siren sound will give different indications; hence it is very important to understand this.
• Signal of danger: Siren up to 2 minutes in high low (up down) sound
• Signal of ending danger: Siren up to 2 minutes in same (continuous) sound
Other Things to Keep In Mind
• Suspicious objects: If any suspicious object is seen, do not touch. Call immediately to police (112).
• If on road: Park vehicle on side carefully and switch off all the lights.
• Going outside: After air attacks or emergency, move out only if there are government directions
• Avoid rumors: follow instructions given by administrations only. Listen alerts on radio and mobiles
• Cooperate: Cooperate citizen safety volunteers and local administrations. Follow the instructions of traffic rules and disaster management /police.
All the people are advised to follow the advisory issued strictly and cooperate the volunteers and administrations to protect the people and nation at the time of blackouts.
