Weather Update January 7 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain or snow at isolated regions in Kashmir.

Weather Update January 7 2026-Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan

Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Hastinapur, Saharanpur, Gurugram, Faridabad and Meerut are likely to experience chilling cold waves in the early morning and late evening & night hours.

Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

Persistent chilling waves and fresh snowfall is likely in isolated regions in Western Himalayan Region Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit Baltistan-Muzaffarabad. Moderate to heavy snowfall is likely in many parts of Kashmir.

Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam

Many areas in Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam are likely to witness thick fog, especially in early morning hours.

Southern States, Puducherry and Daman & Diu

A few pockets in Southern States, Puducherry and Daman & Diu may witness chilling waves.

West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha

Isolated regions in the states of West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha may notice a slight change in minimum temperatures, especially in early morning and late night hours.
