The video in question was shared by Himanta Biswa Sarma on X (previously Twitter), where he expressed his disappointment at the treatment Kharge received. He stated, “It’s deeply disheartening to witness the disrespect shown towards a veteran Parliamentarian and Dalit leader like Shri @kharge Ji by the so-called Holy Trinity in Wayanad today.”

In an interview with ANI, Sarma elaborated on the incident, claiming, “We have shown what is Dalit's position in Congress. Outside, Rahul Gandhi portrays that Congress supports Dalits. However, the reality is different. Inside, Dalits are insulted.”

The criticisms did not stop with Himanta Biswa Sarma. BJP MP Giriraj Singh also took to X, sharing the video and stating, “Vah re Congress... Sita Ram Kesari ji ke baad Kharge ji.”

Union Minister Prahlad Joshi echoed these sentiments, stating that Kharge being kept out during Priyanka Gandhi's nomination exemplifies a broader issue. Joshi stated, “Mallikarjun Kharge kept out of the room today during Priyanka Vadra's nomination. This incident shows how the Gandhi family disrespects the Dalit community.”

In response to the allegations made by the BJP, Congress leaders defended their party’s actions. Supriya Shrinate took to X to dismiss the claims, stating, “You cheap liar. I wish you knew a thing or two about elections and how many people at any given time are allowed inside besides the candidate.” Shrinate insisted that the presence of leaders like Kharge and Sonia Gandhi was coordinated and that the BJP's accusations were baseless.
