A new Vande Bharat train is to start in Madhya Pradesh. It is expected to begin its service for pasengers from the next month. Final schedule will be released by the end of May 2025 or in the first week of June 2025.
About New Vande Bharat Express
• Central state of India, Madhya Pradesh is ready to have another Vande Bharat Express train, most probably in the next month. This add-on in Vande Bharat Express train is scheduled to commence the operations in June 2025.
• The new Vande Bharat Express will cover around 600 km distance.
• It will run between Bhopal and Lucknow.
• As per officials, this Vande Bharat Express will connect nine main cities in the route from Madhya Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh.
• The train will run six days a week.
• Its schedule is not final and in consideration of Lucknow Rail Division. The proposed train will depart from Lucknow in the morning and return from Bhopal to Lucknow in the evening as per Railway officials. Final schedule is expected to be released between May end and the first week of June 2025.
• It will connect around 9 main Cities from MP and UP including Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur, and Lucknow.
Will It Also Include Indore?
• The Bhopal-Lucknow route is approved but the increasing demand to run the train from Indore is very high.
• Due to its reputation, people in the state are insisting to run this Vande Bharat Express from Indore too. The proposal is not final and under the consideration of the Railway Board.
• Indore MP, Shankar Lalwani and other representatives of public are also keeping the demand. This demand is pushed by the needs of daily travellers between Indore, Bhopal, and beyond.
• Till now, there are four weekly trains that link Indore and Lucknow but they have less seat availability considering the demand. Waiting lists in these trains goes up to 150 on normal days which and up to 300 on festivals.
• As there are proposals from MP Indore and other representatives chances of approval is high but not guaranteed.
After starting of new Vande Bharat Train in Madhya Pradesh, journey of people from state to Lucknow will be easier. It will help to meet the increasing demand of passengers in the state for seats in these trains up to an extent.
