Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday said the state is witnessing rapid growth in the dairy sector with increasing milk production and government-backed initiatives aimed at strengthening livestock-based livelihoods.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the state government under the leadership of Mohan Yadav is promoting dairy development through incentive-based schemes and support measures for cattle rearers and dairy farmers.
Officials said the government is focusing on improving dairy infrastructure, animal healthcare services and support systems to enhance milk production across the state.

The state government stated that special emphasis is being placed on expanding opportunities in the dairy and animal husbandry sectors to increase rural income and employment generation.
Authorities believe that strengthening dairy activities can play an important role in improving the economic condition of farmers and livestock owners, particularly in rural areas.

Officials from the animal husbandry department said several programmes are being implemented to encourage scientific cattle rearing, better nutrition and improved breed management.
The government added that continued support and policy initiatives are helping Madhya Pradesh move towards stronger dairy production capacity and sustainable agricultural growth.
