According to officials, the campaign will focus on conservation of rivers, ponds and other traditional water bodies, along with activities such as desilting, rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge across Madhya Pradesh.

The initiative is expected to involve local communities, government departments and volunteers working together to improve water availability, particularly in rural and drought-prone areas.

Officials said special drives will be carried out to revive dried-up water sources and strengthen existing irrigation systems. Urban areas will also see awareness campaigns encouraging efficient water usage and adoption of rainwater harvesting practices at household and institutional levels.

The government plans to engage पंचायतों, schools and civil society organisations to ensure wider outreach and sustained impact. Awareness programmes, cleanliness drives around water bodies and plantation activities are also expected to be part of the campaign.

Authorities stated that the 100-day mission will be closely monitored to assess progress and ensure effective implementation on the ground. The campaign aims not only to conserve water but also to build long-term behavioural change among citizens towards responsible water use.

The state government said the initiative reflects its commitment to environmental sustainability and aims to create lasting awareness about water conservation, ensuring better water security for future generations.
