A disturbing video from Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral, sparking widespread outrage. The footage shows a group of doctors at the district hospital allegedly beating and dragging a 77-year-old male patient in a shocking display of violence and negligence. 

The incident reportedly took place on April 17, when the elderly man—who had come for treatment—was allegedly assaulted by hospital staff. In the video, one doctor can be seen pulling the frail patient by his limbs across the hospital floor, while another appears to strike him. What’s worse, the patient claims that the staff even tried to get him locked up in a police outpost after the assault.

“They hit me and dragged me out like I was some criminal,” the elderly man said, visibly shaken, in a statement to local media.

Public Outrage and Official Response

The video, now circulating widely on social media, has triggered intense backlash from netizens, who are demanding strict action against the doctors involved. Phrases like “inhuman,” “shameful,” and “unfit to serve” are flooding the comment sections.
