RSS Chief Bhagwat’s comment stirs Brahmins in Madhya Pradesh

Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat got embroiled in controversy after commenting on Pandits in an event organized in Mumbai. In fact, on the occasion of Saint Ravidas Jayanti, Mohan Bhagwat had said in Mumbai that caste was not created by God, but by Pandits. After this statement, the Brahmin community of Madhya Pradesh is very angry.

Recently, the Brahmin Parishad in Gwalior held a press conference and objected to the statement given by Mohan Bhagwat. In Jabalpur too, an effigy of Mohan Bhagwat was burnt on Wednesday. After that Mahesh Guru, senior priest of Mahakaleshwar temple and Rupesh Mehta, vice president of Akhil Bhartiya Yuva Brahmin Samaj, have written a letter to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

3 Questions were asked in the letter

Priest Mahesh Guru has raised questions on the caste system going on inside the Sangh. They have asked in the letter whether they will end the caste system in the Sangh?

Which caste did Lord Rama belong to in Tretayuga and what was his lineage?
What was Ravana’s clan and character? Shabri and Kevat belonged to which varna and clan? Who created the caste system in Tretayuga? Should Shri Ram, Ravan, Shabri or Kevat clarify? In Dwaparayuga, Shri Krishna was born in Yaduvansh, who is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. When Shri Krishna has described himself as the creator of the caste system in Shrimadbhagwadgita, then why blame the Brahmin society?

If you want to end the varna system in the country, then first end the varna system of the union and constituents. Issue orders to all the workers to perform the marriage rituals of their boys and girls in Dalit and backward classes. Make a written notarization from all the members that you will not be associated with any caste. If any member remains in the Varna system, he can leave the Sangh or will you yourself expel him from the Sangh?

Sangh gave clarification

RSS’s publicity in-charge Sunil Ambekar clarified that the word ‘Pandit’ was used to mean ‘intellectuals’ and not Brahmins. He told that Sarsanghchalak was speaking in Marathi and Pandit in Marathi means intellectual.
