Maharana Pratap: A new controversy over signboards is making headlines in Delhi. It began in Maharashtra with demands to remove Aurangzeb’s tomb, and now similar tensions have reached the national capital. The latest dispute revolves around the defacement of the ‘Akbar Road’ signboard, allegedly in response to the vandalism of Maharana Pratap's statue at Kashmere Gate ISBT.

Akbar Road Signboard Defaced Amid Growing Tensions

News agency ANI reported that unidentified individuals defaced the signboard of ‘Akbar Road’ in Delhi. This act has intensified an already heated debate over historical names in the city.

The incident comes after allegations that the statue of Maharana Pratap at Kashmere Gate was damaged. Many believe the defacement was a reaction to this act.

Amit Rathore Demands Action Over Maharana Pratap Statue Vandalism

Amit Rathore, one of the individuals involved in the signboard incident, spoke to ANI. He expressed strong discontent, stating, "India will not tolerate the insult of Maharana Pratap. Authorities are trying to suppress what happened at Kashmere Gate ISBT. Those responsible should be arrested immediately."

Another individual, Vijay, added, "We have been removing signboards named after invaders like Akbar, Babur, and Humayun. The government needs to take action instead of leaving it to us."

Hindu Rashtra Navnirman Sena’s Alleged Involvement

ANI further reported that the individuals involved in defacing ‘Akbar Road’ signboard are allegedly linked to the Hindu Rashtra Navnirman Sena.

Amit Rathore, seen in the video, claims on his Instagram to be the organisation’s national president and founder. The police are currently investigating the matter for further details.
