The Aam Aadmi Party’s continuous efforts to elevate quality education are gaining worldwide recognition. Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) run school Nagar Nigam Pratibha Balika Vidyalaya, Dilshad Colony, has bagged a nomination in the ‘community collaboration’ category in the prestigious World’s Best Schools Prizes 2023. The nominations were announced after T4 Education, an organization headquartered in the UK, conducted a survey across 127 countries.
Mayor Shelly Oberoi lauds MCD school
Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi has expressed happiness after the APP-led MCD school was included in the global list. “A primary school under the AAP-led MCD has been included in the top-10 list for the first time… We are to bring reforms in all MCD schools in the coming six months. We are committed to implementing the model of the Delhi government in all schools,” she said. The mayor further said that 65 families/parents were helping in the running of the school, adding the children of these families have triumphed in various fields.
World’s Best School Prizes 2023
Founded by T4 Education, World’s Best School Prizes 2023 is organised in collaboration with Accenture, American Express, Yayasan Hasanah, and the Lemann Foundation.
“Schools across the globe will learn from the story of these trailblazing Indian institutions and the culture they have cultivated,” said Vikas Pota, Founder of T4 Education and the World’s Best School Prizes, news agency PTI said in a report.
“The schools shortlisted for the World’s Best School Prizes, no matter where they can be found or what they teach, all have one thing in common they all have a strong school culture; their leaders know how to attract and motivate exceptional educators, inspire change, and build excellent teaching and learning environments,” he added as quoted by PTI.
The Awards will be announced in September.
