MP News: The police have held three men in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh for allegedly holding a tribal man and his younger brother captive and thrashing them after an altercation on the road, as per reports. The incident comes days after a tribal man from Sidhi district was peed on by an aide of a BJP leader. The Madhya Pradesh government run by Bharatiya Janata Party was at the center of criticism.

Tribal men held captive

An 18-year-old tribal man and his 15-year-old brother collapsed on a road when their motorbike skidded in the vicinity of Rau police station on Friday, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Aditya Mishra, who spoke to reporters here on Saturday. The two reportedly got into a fight, and the accused allegedly brought them to a security guard’s room and beat them there, according to the official. They were released on Saturday morning. The tribal man and his brother were eventually admitted to a hospital, where DCP Mishra reported that their condition was stable.

Accused under arrest

According to him, the accused were charged in accordance with the pertinent provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and the Indian Penal Code.

The official indicated that if more people are discovered on the basis of the CCTV footage, they would also face the consequences.
