Atiq Ahmed: Sunday saw the arrival of Uttar Pradesh Police at Prayagraj’s Naini Jail to take Ali, Atiq Ahmed’s younger son, into jail for questioning. In Naini Jail, Ali is currently doing his term. According to authorities, the shooter Guddu Muslim, Sabir, and Mohammad Ghulam Ali allegedly visited Ali in jail under the pretense of being his buddies immediately before the murder of Umesh Pal.

Atiq Ahmed’s attorney Khan Soulat Hanif revealed Ali’s claimed involvement in the murder of Umesh Pal during Atiq Ahmed’s questioning in the police remand. Sources claim that Ali was crucial in putting Mohammad Ghulam Ali in touch with Atiq Ahmed’s relatives. Apparently the most devoted to Ali was the shooter, Mohammad Ghulam.

Asad was wanted in connection with the murder of Umesh Pal
After Ali was imprisoned, Ashraf and Shaista began to confide in Mohammad Ghulam. Asad, the eldest son of Atiq Ahmed, was killed in an encounter on April 13 by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in Jhansi. Asad was wanted in connection with the murder of Umesh Pal. A reward of Rs 5 lakh had been offered by the police for information regarding Asad. In the encounter directed by Deputy SP Navendu and Deputy SP Vimal, another suspect in the case, Ghulam, who had a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head, was also murdered.
