In a swift and decisive operation, Commissionerate Police Amritsar tracked down the suspects involved in the attack on Thakur Dwara Mandir in Amritsar. The incident, which took place on March 15, 2025, prompted immediate action, leading to an FIR being registered at PS Chheharta under the Explosive Substances Act.
Police Confrontation in Rajasansi
Based on intelligence inputs, police teams traced the accused in Rajasansi, Amritsar. Upon confrontation, the suspects opened fire on the police, injuring Head Constable Gurpreet Singh and striking Inspector Amolak Singh’s turban. In response, the police fired back in self-defense, injuring one of the accused.
The injured suspect was rushed to Civil Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the second accused managed to escape, and search operations are underway to apprehend him.

A new FIR is being registered at PS Airport, and police are actively pursuing the remaining suspect. Authorities have assured the public that strict action will be taken to ensure such incidents do not disrupt peace and harmony in the state.
