Under this initiative, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur inaugurated the installation of air conditioners at a primary school in Ward No. 6 and a government school in Ward No. 10 of the Malout constituency. The move is part of the government’s broader effort to equip government schools with facilities comparable to those available in private institutions.
The initiative aims to provide relief from extreme heat, which often affects classroom learning and teaching efficiency during peak summer months. By improving classroom conditions, the state government hopes to enhance students’ focus, attendance, and overall academic performance.
