Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains shared that the discussions were held in a positive atmosphere, with both sides engaging in detailed deliberations on the workers’ key demands. According to the minister, consensus was achieved on most of the issues raised during the meeting.
Garbage Collection to Resume
Following the agreement, representatives of the sanitation workers assured the government that garbage lifting operations would resume immediately, bringing relief to residents affected by the disruption in waste collection services.
The Punjab Government also confirmed that another round of discussions will take place on Monday to address the remaining issues and work toward a comprehensive resolution.
