Two days after the attack on Ajnala police station by supporters of Waris Punjab De, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given a big statement regarding Amritpal Singh. Bhagwant Mann tweeted in Punjabi on Saturday. He has written in his tweet that those who took Guru Granth Sahib Ji to the police stations as a shield are not worthy of being called the heirs of Punjab and Punjabiyat.
The police station was attacked on Thursday
Be aware that Varinder Singh of Chamkaur Sahib in Rupnagar district of Punjab had filed a complaint of kidnapping and assault on Lovepreet Singh and Amritpal and 30 of his supporters. After this, Lovepreet and another were arrested. In order to release Lovepreet in this case, Amritpal had warned to protest outside the police station on Wednesday. After this, on Thursday he reached the police station along with his supporters along with the sacred form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. When the police tried to stop him, the furious mob broke the barricades and attacked the police station with swords and guns, injuring six policemen including the SP.
Know what the CM said on law and order in Punjab
Regarding the violence in Ajnala, Punjab, the statement of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also come to the fore. When the media asked CM Mann why the FIR was not registered regarding the Ajnala violence, he said that the law and order in Punjab is absolutely fine. Punjab Police is capable of maintaining law and order. Everyone lives together in Punjab. On the contrary, the CM told the media persons that you have wrong information about Punjab. Shortly after this statement of the CM, his tweet has also come to the fore.
Opposition parties attacking the government
The opposition has become an attacker on the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab regarding the Ajnala violence. All the parties are busy besieging the government. Questions are also being raised on CM Bhagwant Mann. The BJP has termed the Ajnala violence as hooliganism. The BJP alleges that Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh has committed sacrilege by using Sri Guru Granth Sahib as a shield. BJP has raised many questions regarding taking Palki Sahib from police station to police station. He has accused the Punjab government that the government has proved to be a failure in maintaining law and order.
