Preparations have been completed in Sri Anandpur Sahib for the large-scale events marking the martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab unit said that all arrangements, including sanitation, accommodation, and crowd management, have been finalised with special care.
The state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has directed officials to ensure that devotees arriving at the Guru’s birthplace face no inconvenience. The government emphasised that the events must reflect the sanctity of the occasion and uphold the rich heritage of Punjab.
Strict Monitoring of Arrangements
Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains stated that the administration has been given clear instructions to avoid any negligence. He added that every department is working in coordination to ensure the comfort and safety of the sangat expected to gather in large numbers.
Authorities have also strengthened security, improved cleanliness around key routes, and arranged essential amenities for pilgrims. The aim is to provide a smooth and spiritually meaningful experience for all attendees.
Devotees Expected in Large Numbers
The events at Sri Anandpur Sahib hold great emotional and spiritual significance for people across Punjab and the Sikh community worldwide. With preparations now complete, a large inflow of devotees is anticipated. The Punjab government has deployed additional teams for crowd management, medical support, and continuous monitoring.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s administration has highlighted that preserving the dignity of Sikh heritage and ensuring people’s comfort remain their top priorities during such historic commemorations.
