Chandigarh Viral Video: Kanishka Bisht, a resident of Chandigarh’s sector 7, has been winning hearts ever since a video went viral. In the video, Kanishka who has been physically challenged since birth and battling severe pneumonia and muscular dystrophy could be seen appearing for her Class 12 board examinations on oxygen support.
Kanishka was been in the intensive control unit (ICU) for the last 13 days including 10 days on a ventilator but that did not brought down her spirits in any way.
Chandigarh Viral Video-Turn Of Events
The girl visited her exam centre to give her Physics exam in Manimajra’s government school in a medical ambulance. Kanishka was later taken on a stretcher into the examination hall by a team of medical support staff. She completed her Physics exam while still being on oxygen support.

Monika Puri, Principal, MHC School, remarked that we ensured that kanishka was made comfortable by arranging a proper table and chair for her. She added that the child needed certain arrangements, and as per CBSE norms, we are required to provide a ground-floor facility for such students.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) granted an additional hour to Kanishka based on her medical condition so she could complete her examination. The courageous girl is a student of the Khalsa School in Sector 26 of Chandigarh.
Kanishka was advised by family members and doctors not to attend the examination but she insisted on giving her exam. She told her father Prem Singh that she would take the examination irrespective of her health condition. The father remarked that Kanishka developed severe cold that soon translated into severe congestion. After this, she was admitted to a hospital and diagnosed with pneumonia. Kanishka was later admitted to the ICU.
