Halwara Airport: A Strategic Location
Halwara Airport, located strategically close to the Ludhiana city center, is expected to attract heavy passenger traffic not just from Ludhiana but also from nearby districts such as Moga, Barnala, and Sangrur. The easy accessibility and state-of-the-art facilities are being seen as major plus points for travelers.
Future Expansion Plans Underway
Sources close to the project have indicated that there are already discussions underway to expand the number of flights and introduce routes to major metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. The Punjab government is reportedly in talks with more airlines to increase connectivity options, aiming to establish Ludhiana as a key air travel hub in North India.
