Government of Punjab, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has initiated a new welfare scheme known as the Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dhiyan Satikar Yojana to provide financial aid to women throughout the Punjab state.
What is the Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dhiyan Satikar Yojana?
It is a welfare scheme to financially assist women by means of direct benefits transfer scheme. This scheme aims to increase economic independence and to give recognition to the role of women in the family and society. The scheme was launched on July 1, 2026.The Punjab government has already released the first installment under the scheme.

Monthly Financial Assistance for Women
Under the scheme, eligible women will receive monthly financial assistance based on their category:
- ₹1,000 per month for women belonging to the General Category
- ₹1,500 per month for women belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) Category
