According to a post shared by the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab unit, Bains was present to see off the devotees as they embarked on their journey to visit important religious and sacred places.

On the occasion, the cabinet minister extended his best wishes to the pilgrims and prayed for their journey to be comfortable, safe and memorable. He also offered prayers for the well-being and prosperity of all people.

The initiative provides devotees with an opportunity to undertake pilgrimage

The initiative provides devotees with an opportunity to undertake pilgrimage journeys with organised travel arrangements. Such programmes are aimed at making visits to religious destinations more accessible for people who may otherwise face difficulties arranging transportation for long-distance pilgrimages.

The departure from Dabkhera Lower marks another journey organised under the state’s religious tourism and pilgrimage initiative. The participation of a cabinet minister at the flag-off event also highlighted the Punjab government’s focus on facilitating religious travel for residents.

The pilgrims expressed their gratitude to the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government for arranging the journey. They described the initiative as a useful step for devotees seeking to visit prominent religious places.

The scheme has remained one of the initiatives highlighted by the Punjab government in connection with providing facilities for pilgrims. Through organised bus services, devotees can travel together as a group, making the pilgrimage more convenient.

The event in Rupnagar also brought together local residents, devotees and government representatives as the bus was formally flagged off for its onward journey.

Bains wished the pilgrims a peaceful journey and called for prayers for the welfare of society. The devotees subsequently began their pilgrimage from Dabkhera Lower, carrying forward the religious journey under the state government’s scheme.
