Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a new trial system to make the property registration process easier for citizens. Now, people will no longer need to visit courts to get their property documents registered. Instead, all paperwork will be handled at Sewa Kendras.

Taking it a step further, Mann said that officials will deliver the registry documents directly to people’s homes.

Bhagwant Mann On Hassle-Free Property Registration

The announcement came through a video shared on X, where Mann explained the plan in Punjabi. He said, “We have started a trial for property registries, where your registrations will be done at service centres instead of courts. Officers will personally come to your home and deliver the property papers. Very soon, we will completely eliminate the public's difficulties.”

This initiative is expected to save citizens a lot of time and effort, especially for those living in rural areas. It also aims to reduce public inconvenience and bring government services closer to people’s homes.

Earlier, the property registration process in Punjab required a No Objection Certificate (NOC). This often caused delays, confusion, and frequent visits to government offices. Many people also struggled due to unauthorised colonies and complicated legal steps.

To make things easier, Mann had already removed the NOC requirement from the registry process. This was done to reduce corruption and bring transparency to land dealings. With this latest update, the state government now hopes to deliver a fully hassle-free experience to the public.

Punjab CM Recently Reacted To Amritsar Hooch Tragedy

Bhagwant Mann recently expressed grief over the recent hooch tragedy in Amritsar. At least 14 people lost their lives, and several others were hospitalised after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in villages near Majitha.

Reacting to the heartbreaking incident, Mann called it a clear case of murder. He said those responsible will face strict punishment. He said, “These are not mere deaths, they are murders. These murderers of innocent people will not be spared at any cost.”

The Chief Minister also assured the public that his government is standing firmly with the affected families. He said those behind the tragedy have caused deep pain and will be held accountable under the law.

Soon after the deaths were reported, the police arrested five people in connection with the case. The accused have been identified as Prabhjit Singh, Kulbir Singh, Sahib Singh, Gurjant Singh and Ninder Kaur. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Excise Act.

Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney confirmed the casualties. She also said that medical teams are visiting the affected villages and checking on other residents. These teams are going door-to-door to find anyone who might have consumed the toxic liquor and ensure they get treatment in time.

CM Mann said the government will provide full support to the families of the deceased. He also prayed for peace for the departed souls.
