Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that Punjab is preparing to deal with the new variant of Corona. He said that Punjab has demanded Corona vaccination, which is expected to be provided soon by the Government of India. That Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh was participating in the awareness workshop on Corona under the chairmanship of Mandaviya.
Jaudamajra said that every possible effort is being made to prevent corona in the state. He has held a meeting with all the officers on 22 December 2022 and has given them strict instructions to deal with Corona. The minister has instructed the health workers to make more and more people aware to avoid corona, so that people do not have to face the problem of corona.
He said that beds, tests and other necessary arrangements are being made in the hospitals. To deal with the critical situation in Punjab, mock drills are conducted every month to check that the plants are working properly. On this occasion, Secretary Health Ajoy Sharma, Mission Director National Health Mission Punjab Dr. Abhinav Trikha, Director Health Services Dr. Ranjit Singh, State Program Officer Dr Rajesh Bhaskar and other officers were present.
Instructions to Ayurvedic and Homeopathy departments to be vigilant
A special meeting of the officers of Ayurvedic Department and Homeopathic Department was held at the Punjab Civil Secretariat on Friday under the chairmanship of Health and Family Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra. The minister reviewed the works of the departments and discussed the future strategy. Jaudamajra said that treatment of all diseases is possible with Ayurveda. That’s why we should take a pledge to propagate Ayurveda from house to house.
Ayurveda and Homeopathy have played a positive role in the fight against COVID-19. He said that Ayurvedic decoction has also proved to be very beneficial for controlling seasonal diseases. He stressed on the importance of being vigilant against newly emerging variants of COVID-19. Director Ayurveda Department, Director Homeopathic Department, all District Magistrates also participated in the meeting.
Corona knocks again in Punjab, 12 infected found
Corona has again knocked in Punjab. For many days not a single case of corona was coming to the fore, but again on Friday, 12 people have been confirmed with Covid. According to information, 2,973 Covid samples were tested on Friday, out of which 12 were found positive. Of these, three cases have been reported from Bathinda, two from Amritsar, Ferozepur, Tarn Taran and one each from Ropar, Sangrur and Nawanshahr. At present there are 18 active cases of corona across the state.
