Punjab News: On Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann criticized BJP state president Sunil Jakhar, SAD president Sukhbir Badal, Leader of Opposition Partap Bajwa, and state Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja warring in a social media post. He questioned their audacity in raising the SYL issue and criticizing his government when there is a picture of Balram Jakhar, Sunil Jakhar’s father, and Capt Amarinder Singh at the foundation-laying for the SYL canal.
Mann also mentioned that former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal had praised Parkash Singh Badal for allowing the survey for the SYL canal during his time as Haryana CM.
Mann also targeted Sukhbir Badal:
CM Mann also targeted Sukhbir Badal, suggesting that the land for his five-star hotel in Gurugram might have been allotted to him for compromising Punjab’s interests. Mann shared his personal connection to the issue, stating that as a child, he used to oversee the water channels in his village and continues to protect the Sutlej River today.
Challenged leaders to debate:
He challenged these leaders to a debate on November 1, asking them to be prepared to discuss how their forefathers had attempted to harm Punjab. The debate is scheduled to take place at Tagore Theatre in Punjab. This challenge comes after Mann had previously called for a debate on all public issues in Punjab just two days ago.
