According to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab, as many as 3,560 diabetes patients have received timely treatment and surgeries under the Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana. The party said the scheme provided eligible patients access to free treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh.
The initiative is particularly significant for diabetes patients who develop serious wounds and complications that can require prolonged treatment or surgery. AAP Punjab said timely medical intervention under the scheme helped wounds heal and prevented patients from undergoing amputations.
