In the Chandigarh university case, Punjab Police had arrested Sanjeev Singh, the accused army man. The DGP of Punjab Police had given this information by tweeting. He had told that with the help of Assam and Arunachal Police, the accused Army jawan Sanjeev Singh was arrested from Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh. Accused Sanjeev reportedly told the Mohali police that he was in touch with the MBA student.
According to sources, the accused army jawan had contact with the student on social media. After this both shared the numbers. However, it is not yet clear whether the student had sent the videos to Sanjeev Singh. The police have seized the mobile from Sanjeev’s possession, which is under investigation. The army jawan told the Mohali police that he was in love with an MBA student.
In this case, the police has already arrested three accused including the accused student. The police have come to know many facts in the initial interrogation of the three accused MBA student, her boyfriend Sunny Mehta and her friend Rankaj Verma. On the basis of this, the police is engaged in the investigation.
When the hostel manager questioned the MBA student with her mobile, someone was constantly messaging at that time. After this, on investigation, it was found from the WhatsApp chat that the message was from Sanjeev Singh. He was allegedly asking the student to send videos and pictures.
The chat transcript revealed that the girl was being pressurized to send photos or videos. She also told Sanjeev that she was caught in the hostel making photos and videos.
In this case, the police is waiting for the forensic report of the mobile phones and laptops of the girls. From this it will be known whether videos of girl students were made or not. Initial investigation revealed that the accused MBA student was allegedly dating two people.
As per media reports Sanjeev Singh, the Army man arrested from Arunachal Pradesh in connection with the Chandigarh University MMS scandal, was in love with the student who was allegedly making videos of women showering in the hostel. Singh reportedly told the Mohali Police about his relationship with the accused.
