New Vande Bharat Express to Connect Bikaner and Delhi, Says Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal

Union Minister of State for Law and Justice and Bikaner MP Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the development on Wednesday via his official handle on X. The approval for the train service was formally conveyed by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in an official letter.

“The new Vande Bharat Express will not only reduce the journey time between Bikaner and Delhi but also provide a more comfortable and modern travel experience. It will give a boost to tourism, business, trade, and the pace of industrialization in the region,” Meghwal said.

Historic gift for the people of Rajasthan,

Calling it a historic gift for the people of Rajasthan, the minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sanctioning the service. He also highlighted that the redevelopment of railway stations in Bikaner is progressing alongside this new initiative, ensuring comprehensive development of the region’s infrastructure.

The upcoming train is expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters, traders, and tourists, providing a faster, safer, and more reliable travel option. With Rajasthan already having four Vande Bharat trains in operation—Ajmer–Chandigarh, Jaipur–Udaipur City, Jodhpur–Sabarmati, and Udaipur–Agra Cantt—this new addition will further strengthen the state’s rail network.

Railway officials believe the launch will also improve industrial linkages between Bikaner and Delhi, supporting local businesses and creating new opportunities in tourism and trade.
