Rajasthan News—A devastating accident on Friday claimed the lives of five people, including four women and a two-year-old child, and left eight others injured when a truck collided with a tempo on NH-27 near Gogunda Pindwara.

According to Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal, the tempo had just picked up passengers from Saleriya village and entered the highway when a speeding truck rammed into it. The truck driver, reportedly losing control of the vehicle on a slope, fled the scene immediately after the collision.

The deceased women were identified as Pushpa Garasiya, Manjubal Garasiya, Kastubai Garasiya, and Mamta Garasiya. Tragically, Mamta’s young son, Tumaram, succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital. The injured victims were rushed to a nearby medical facility and later referred to Udaipur for further treatment, officials said.45 Injured in Dausa Bus-Truck Pile-Up.

Dense Fog Causes Chaos on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

In a separate incident on Thursday, approximately 45 passengers sustained injuries when a private bus collided with two trucks on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. The accident occurred near Lahdi Ka Bas due to dense fog, as confirmed by Nangal-Rajawatan DSP Charul Gupta.

The bus, carrying devotees traveling from Ujjain to Delhi, slammed into two stationary trucks that had earlier collided. Over 20 injured passengers were admitted to Dausa District Hospital, with four referred to Jaipur for specialized care. Several others continued their journey to Noida and Delhi for treatment.

In yet another tragic accident, an LPG tanker explosion on December 20 led to the death of at least 20 people on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway. The incident triggered a massive fire, charring over 40 vehicles. Several injured victims are currently undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital in Jaipur.
