Rajasthan Twins die within hours in similar manner despite living 900 kilometres away, possible suicide

Rajasthan: Twins aged 26 died in Rajasthan on the same day and in a similar way, which was a sad yet unique tragedy. One lived in Barmer and the other in Surat, almost 900 kilometres apart, according to sources. The brothers’ bizarre, comparable deaths—one fell from his home’s terrace, the other fell into a water tank—left the family in disbelief.

Both the twins died in similar manner

Sohan Singh and Sumer Singh, identical twins, were burned on the same pyre in their home village of Saarno ka Tala. SHO Surendra Singh of Sindhari police station in Barmer remarked “Their family reported that Sumer was on the phone when he slipped and had a fatal fall on Wednesday night. Sohan fell into a water tank early on Thursday, soon after returning home to the news of his twin’s death. We aren’t ruling out suicide in the second case.”

In order to get water from the tank, which was barely 100 metres from his house, Sohan, the older of the two, had gone outside. He was discovered in the tank later and sent to the hospital right afterwards, where he passed away.

The twins had strong bond: Villagers

The twins, who are said to have a close relationship, have two other siblings who live in the same area. The source claims that Sumer worked in Surat to support his brother while he worked hard to get a teaching job -and earn money. The twins, who also have two other siblings, have had a deep attachment since they were little, according to villager Pokar Ram.

He also said, “Sumer wasn’t good in studies, but he encouraged Sohan to study hard. He moved to Surat to work so that he could earn enough to help his twin study and get a teacher’s job.”
