Registration for Amarnath Yatra 2025 Begins Across India< Here's How You Can Register?

The registration process for the annual Amarnath Yatra 2025 officially began in Jammu, marking the start of preparations for one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimages in the country. The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has authorized a total of 533 branches of Punjab National Bank (PNB), State Bank of India (SBI), Jammu & Kashmir Bank, and Yes Bank across India to facilitate registration for devotees.

The pilgrimage is not just a spiritual journey but also a test of endurance, which is why medical fitness is a mandatory requirement during the registration process.

Pilgrims aged 13 to 70 eligible; 533 bank branches facilitating registration

The Amarnath Yatra attracts lakhs of devotees each year who trek through the Himalayan routes to pay obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Lord Shiva, located in south Kashmir at an altitude of 3,888 meters. 

As per the guidelines issued, individuals between the ages of 13 and 70 are permitted to undertake the Yatra. Additionally, pregnant women are not allowed to register, in view of the difficult terrain and high-altitude conditions involved in the pilgrimage.

Authorities have appealed to pilgrims to complete their registration well in advance and ensure all health advisories and safety guidelines are followed. Security arrangements and logistical planning are also underway to ensure a smooth and safe Yatra experience for all participants.

The Yatra dates, route details, and further instructions are expected to be released by the SASB in the coming weeks. The administration has reiterated its commitment to providing a safe and well-organized pilgrimage for all devotees.
