Uttar Pradesh News: Two individuals have been arrested following the circulation of a video on social media allegedly depicting a man urinating on another person in the Jugail area of Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh. Following a complaint from the victim, Gulab Kol, this incident came to light on July 11. The FIR was registered in response to a complaint, said SP Yashveer Singh.

Man urinated on drunk friend

According to Singh, the accused, Jawahar Patel, and the victim were known to each other and had a heated argument after consuming alcohol. In the midst of the altercation, Patel allegedly physically assaulted Kol before committing the degrading act. The victim was drunk and unaware during the incident. The whole act was captured and posted on social media.

Similar act in Madhya Pradesh

Few days ago, we came across a similar case in Madhya Pradesh, where Pravesh Shukla was arrested for urinating on Dashmat Rawat who belongs to a tribal community. He was charger under NSA, Penal Code, IPC and SC ST prevention of Atrocities Act. An unauthorized portion of Shukla’s house has also been demolished by the Sidhi authorities.

In Madhya Pradesh, an incident that has caused outrage led to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan apologizing personally for the victim and washing his feet in a gesture of apology. The government paid the victim and his family an amount of 5 lac, along with a sum of 1.5 Lakh to build their house. The incident has, however, been politicised with the Congress Party alleging that the defendant is associated with a BJP legislator from his home district.
