Uttarakhand Weather Update: Met Department warns of Heavy Rains for the next 3 days, Yellow Alert issued for Haridwar, Uttarkashi

Uttarakhand Weather Update: Met Department predicts heavy rains for the next 3 days. Yellow has been issued for Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Udham Singh Nagar and Pithoragarh district. Orange Alert issued for Nanital, Tehri, Dehradun, Paudi and Bageshwar districts. According to IMD, there is Possibility of Heavy Rains across the state for the next 3 days. Rains have already wreak havoc in Uttarakhand and Himachal for the past one month. Many people lost their houses and living in Relief camps. NDRF and SDRF teams are supplying clean water and food to the people staying in the Government Shelters.

Five People die in Chamoli Landslides

Five people died in the landslides in Chamba and tourists were warned not to visit near the area till the weather becomes normal. The rescue teams in all the districts are providing relief materials to the people living in the low lying areas and who have moved out of their homes due to the heavy rainfall. Uttarakhand Chief Minister also conducted an aerial survey of the rain affected areas and announced compensation.

Schools shut in Uttarakhand

A part of the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple also collapsed yesterday due to heavy rains and the devotees had to face difficulty on the main entrance of the temple. All schools shut in Uttarakhand till further information.
