Uttarakhand Governor has approved the state’s anti-copying law

The youth are agitating over the recruitment scam. Meanwhile, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government has implemented the anti-copying law through an ordinance. All competitive examinations will come under the purview of this law. In this, a provision has been made ranging from life imprisonment to a fine of Rs 10 crore.

In Uttarakhand, there were frequent complaints of irregularities in the recruitment examinations of various commissions. CM Dhami directed to register FIR in all the cases and get the investigation done by SIT. So far more than five dozen people have been arrested in such cases and seven to eight recruitment examinations have been cancelled.

In such a situation, in view of the increasing number of cases, CM Dhami had directed to enact a strict anti-copying law. After preparing its draft, it was to be sent for cabinet approval. Meanwhile, the youth started the movement. The agitation turned violent due to stone pelting, lathi charge and arrest of more than a dozen youths. Congress also came on the streets. Seeing the delicacy of the occasion, CM Dhami himself sent the draft of this law to the Raj Bhavan for approval and signature through deviation. The governor also signed it late last night. After this, this law has become effective with immediate effect.

This law has been made very strict

A provision has been made in this that if any person, printing press, management system, coaching institute or service provider organization is found involved in this, then they will have to pay a fine of Rs 10 crore along with life imprisonment. In this, the culprits will not be allowed to appear in any examination for a period of three to 10 years along with imprisonment. The offense under this will be cognizable and non-bailable. All properties collected through unfair means will be attached.
