In anticipation of the New Year celebrations attracting a surge of tourists to the scenic city of Nainital in Uttarakhand, the Nainital Police have released a traffic diversion plan. With popular destinations such as Nainital witnessing an influx of visitors, SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena urges tourists to adhere to the traffic diversion plan for a smooth entry into the city while also following wildlife protection regulations.
Nainital Police Issues Traffic Advisory for New Year Celebrations
The traffic diversion plan outlines designated parking areas like Metropole, Ashoka, and DSA parking for regular situations. If these parking spaces reach over 70% capacity, tourists are directed to Sukhatal Parking and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam Parking.
Additionally, if these spaces are also filled to 70%, vehicles arriving from Bhawali to Nainital will be diverted to Band Number 1 via Russian Bypass on the Haldwani road. To further assist tourists, a shuttle service will be available to transport them to Nainital.
