10 New Airport Being Built In UP: Scindia

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that UP will soon be the number one state with maximum number of domestic flights. The Civil Aviation Minister was addressing the session organized during the Global Investment Summit on Saturday. He said that PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi have rejuvenated the country and the state. In UP where earlier there were two airports, now nine are operational.

He said that currently 10 airports are under construction. Lands are being seen for two airports. Soon there will be 21 airports in UP. The Civil Aviation Minister said that this land of Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura has always shown a new path to India. Addressing the investors of the civil aviation sector, the Union Minister described UP as the most favorable destination for investment. Said that the way the work was done in UP in six years, it is surprising everyone. Be it road connectivity or civil aviation, UP has made a big leap in every field.

Additional Chief Secretary Civil Aviation SP Goyal, YI APL Chairman Daniel Brichter, Air India Express CEO Alok Singh, former Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and Vice President of European Investment Bank and Member of European Parliament Chris Peter, CAPA India were present on the occasion. CEO Kapil Kaul alsoaddressed.

Maximum 20 percent used ‘Digi Yatra’ in Varanasi

The coming time will be more convenient for the passengers. For this, a pilot project of ‘Digi Yatra’ service is going on at three airports. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that one of these is Varanasi airport where 20 per cent passengers used it. In this system, the passenger does not need to show Aadhaar, boarding pass anywhere. The face of the passengers whose details are there will be the entry pass. Unhindered they can reach the aircraft through the airport gate, check-in counter.
