A key component of the government’s welfare agenda is the expansion of the Suposhan Mission, which seeks to improve nutritional outcomes among children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The programme focuses on addressing malnutrition through targeted interventions, awareness campaigns, and improved access to nutrition-related services.
The government has also highlighted efforts to strengthen the Anganwadi system, which plays a vital role in providing early childhood care, nutrition, and health services. Measures aimed at empowering Anganwadi centres and workers are intended to improve service delivery and support the overall development of children and families.
