Yogi Adityanath emphasised the cultural significance of Hindi, highlighting its role in connecting people and representing India’s linguistic and cultural identity.
His message came on Hindi Diwas, observed annually on September 14 to commemorate the adoption of Hindi in the Devanagari script as one of the official languages of the Union by the Constituent Assembly in 1949.
The occasion is marked through various programmes, competitions and initiatives aimed at promoting Hindi and encouraging its use in official and public spheres.
The Chief Minister’s message underlined the importance of respecting India’s linguistic heritage while encouraging greater awareness and use of Hindi among citizens.
