He presented Deepotsav as a celebration in which people from different communities and professional backgrounds participate with equal enthusiasm and devotion.
CM Yogi Adityanath Credits Deepotsav Initiative to Government Since 2017
The Chief Minister said that before 2017, governments had made caste divisions a basis of politics and neglected the unifying strength of cultural traditions. He said the BJP-led double-engine government changed this approach by introducing Deepotsav in 2017 and turning Ayodhya’s cultural heritage into a public celebration.
According to Adityanath, the festival has evolved into an occasion that brings together different sections of society and gives people an opportunity to participate in the celebration of Ayodhya’s religious and cultural identity.
Participation of Different Sections of Society
Highlighting the inclusive nature of the event, the Chief Minister said that religious leaders, students, sanitation workers, potters and traders participate in Deepotsav with equal faith and enthusiasm.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and the participation of religious leaders for the event’s growing significance. Adityanath said that the festival allows people from different social and professional backgrounds to come together, with participation rather than caste determining their identity at the celebration.
