CM Yogi Adityanath On Pulwama Attack’s 7th Anniversary
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said the entire country salutes the bravehearts of India who made the supreme sacrifice in the terrorist attack. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also emphasized on justice against terror and national unity.
India responded decisively to the Pulwama attacks. The country under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi made air strikes on JeM camps in the Balakot region of Pakistan.
The Pulwama tragedy underscored the rising levels of militancy in Kashmir that has been massively controlled now. Till date, the Kashmir unrest has claimed over 70,000 lives, fuelled by local recruits amid ongoing unrest.

The Pulwama Incident
On 14 February 2019, an explosive-laden vehicle was rammed by a suicide bomber from the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) to a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel convoy. The incident happened on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Lethpora in Pulwama district, resulting in the death of 40 jawans while injuring many others.
PM Modi remarked the resolve, devotion and service of the 40 brave souls would remain etched forever in the collective consciousness of each and every Indian.
Indian VP Also Pays Homages
Vice President of India C P Radhakrishnan remembered the Coimbatore serial bomb blasts of 14 February 1998 that left deep scars on countless families.
The attack happened when LK Advani, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was visiting the city to attend a party event.
