In Prayagraj , the dead bodies of mafia-turned-politician former MP Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed, who were shot by three assailants on the evening of April 15, were buried at the Kasari Masari cemetery here on Sunday night.
It was handed over amidst tight security. After the post-mortem, the bodies of Atiq and Ashraf were brought to the cemetery at around 6.30 pm, the official said. He told that after the rituals, both were handed over to ashes. Meanwhile, there have been many important revelations in the post-mortem report of both.
According to the information received, Atiq was hit by 9 bullets in the rapid firing, while his brother Ashraf was riddled with 5 bullets. After being hit by the bullets, the serious parts of both of their bodies were injured, due to which they died immediately on the spot. The post-mortem of Atiq and Ashraf, conducted by a panel of four doctors on Sunday afternoon, revealed that a total of nine bullets had hit Atiq body in the rapid firing.
According to the postmortem report of both, 60-year-old Atiq had three bullet injuries in his head and six in other parts of the body including neck, stomach and waist. Seven bullets hit the former BSP leader’s body, while two were found trapped inside.
At the same time, Ashraf has got 5 bullets. Videography of the entire post-mortem has also been done.
