Lucknow News: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has announced the launch of a tourist cruise on the Gomti River, a project aimed at boosting tourism and offering a new recreational experience in the state capital. The cruise will be capable of accommodating up to 200 passengers at a time and will be equipped with modern amenities.

According to LDA officials, the cruise will feature facilities such as a conference hall, VIP lounge, digital screens, and an open restaurant, making it suitable for tourism, events, and leisure activities. The project is being developed near the riverfront close to Hanuman Setu, where construction work has already begun.
Project Near Hanuman Setu Underway
LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar recently conducted a site inspection to review the progress of the project. During the inspection, he directed officials to complete the construction within five months and ensure that the cruise becomes operational within the stipulated timeline.
The tourist cruise is expected to add a new dimension to Lucknow’s riverfront development and attract both local residents and visitors. Officials said the initiative aligns with the Uttar Pradesh government’s vision to promote tourism and enhance urban infrastructure while making better use of the Gomti riverfront.
Once operational, the Gomti river cruise is likely to emerge as a major attraction, contributing to economic activity, employment generation, and the overall cultural and tourism appeal of Lucknow.
