Maha Kumbh 2025, the largest gathering of Sanatan faith, is expected to attract 40-45 crore devotees from across the globe to Prayagraj for the sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam. Extensive Transport Arrangements for Devotees

To ensure the smooth movement of devotees during the peak days of the Maha Kumbh, Prayagraj's administration has announced robust transportation facilities. ADM Vivek Chaturvedi shared with ANI, "The transport department has arranged around 5,000-6,000 buses, including 550 electric buses, to serve the needs of devotees." Additionally, three temporary bus stands are under construction to handle the increased footfall efficiently. These efforts aim to reduce congestion and provide hassle-free travel to and from the Kumbh premises.

The Prayagraj administration is also prioritising electricity infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the event. So far, 1.25 lakh electricity connections have been established in the Kumbh area, accompanied by the installation of 48,000 streetlights. This not only ensures proper illumination but also adds to the safety and convenience of devotees attending the event day and night.

Safety and Disaster Management Efforts

Preparations for the Maha Kumbh also include advanced safety measures. With ₹200 crore allocated exclusively for disaster management, authorities are integrating AI and CCTV surveillance to enhance security during the mela. These systems aim to monitor and manage the massive crowds effectively, ensuring a safe environment for all attendees.
