Police Chiefs Told to Submit Action Reports
Taking serious note of recent incidents reported in some districts, the Chief Minister has sought detailed reports from district police chiefs on the action taken so far, making clear that swift and strict punishment of the accused is mandatory. The directive effectively places police leadership across the state on immediate alert, with performance on women’s safety cases now under direct scrutiny from the Chief Minister’s office.

Anti-Romeo Squads to Be More Active
As part of the renewed push, Adityanath has directed officials to strengthen the presence of Anti-Romeo Squads in all districts, ensuring continuous deployment at markets, educational institutions, and other sensitive public spaces.
A New Phase of Mission Shakti
The Chief Minister also announced that a fresh phase of the state’s flagship Mission Shakti campaign will be rolled out from the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri, with districts directed to begin preparatory groundwork. The campaign, first launched in 2020, focuses on awareness, rapid police response, and strict prosecution in cases involving crimes against women and girls.
Zero Tolerance as a Continuing Policy
