Smart surveillance, security system in all Uttar Pradesh districts soon

CM Yogi Adityanath

The state’s districts will all experience smart monitoring and urban security. The Yogi Adityanath administration has decided to establish a smart and secure city in each of the state’s 75 districts as compensation for voters who reside inside the boundaries of the urban local bodies in the state.

In order to make up for inhabitants who live in other regions of the state, the government will build the same, smart city in the remaining 57 districts in addition to the 17 cities that are managed by municipal corporations. In addition to the 17 cities, the Gautam Budh Nagar district (which includes Noida and Greater Noida) has a contemporary infrastructure already.

Yogi has ordered the urban development department, district magistrates, and police chiefs to collaborate closely in order to give urban dwellers better facilities. The initiative, which will be implemented before June 30th, will upgrade at least one local organisation, preferably the one closest to the district headquarters.

“Officials heading the government departments and agencies instrumental in making the towns smart and secure have been asked to prepare a comprehensive action plan. Security and surveillance systems covering the busy market, railway station and bus station, apart from better water and sewerage services are going to be on offer. Some parks are also going to be upgraded with modern amenities such as open gymnasiums in the selected towns. The objective is to turn UP into a model state in the country,” said urban development department senior officer

Before creating the action plan to address their day-to-day needs, the officials have been instructed to confer with the top business and trade community members, entrepreneurs, bankers, social organisations, and financial institutions.

Each district would need to nominate a nodal person to keep an eye on things. District magistrates have been tasked with conducting weekly inspections and taking any other necessary actions to improve the infrastructure and state of the government-run educational facilities located in cities.

Additionally, public representatives will be included in the planning of the project, and officials have been tasked with responding to their inquiries promptly.
