UP Mother-Daughter Die In Fire During Encroachment Drive

There is news of death of mother and daughter due to house fire in bulldozer action in Kanpur Dehat, UP. At the same time, in this case, the tehsil administration is being accused of murdering Ranjishan. It is being told that during the bulldozer action, the mother-daughter died of burns due to being hit in the hut. In an attempt to save both, the head of the family was also seriously injured. However, the family is accused of killing the tehsil administration by setting it on fire.

Superintendent of Police BBGTS Murthy told Bhasha that a team of officials had reached the village for an anti-encroachment drive when the woman and her daughter set themselves ablaze inside their hut, killing them. He said, ‘We have reached the spot and the matter is being investigated.’ Earlier in the month of January, the house of the victim’s family was demolished. After which he met the DM and pleaded for justice.

Tehsil administration had come to demolish a temple

And according to the victim’s family, the people of the tehsil administration had come to demolish a temple. Meanwhile, he set the hut on fire. Some people inside ran away after saving their lives. But the mother-daughter caught fire and both died. The victim’s family is accusing Lekhpal and SDM. He says that with the connivance of some other administrative officials, two people have been killed by setting the protest on fire.

The assurance of justice was also received from the DM in three days. But there was no relief from the administration and now this matter has come to the fore. On the other hand, the main opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) of the state termed the incident as murder. The SP has targeted the state government by calling the administration executioner and inhuman. A police official said that the victims have been identified as Pramila Dixit (45) and her daughter Neha Dixit (20). He said that enraged relatives and their supporters thrashed Lekhpal Ashok Singh after the incident, after which the anti-encroachment team ran away.

Angry people demanded registration of an FIR against Deputy District Magistrate (Maitha) Gyaneshwar Prasad, Lekhpal Ashok Singh and others in front of District Magistrate Neha Jain and Superintendent of Police BBGTS Murthy. After getting information about this matter, Additional Director General of Police (Kanpur Zone) Alok Singh along with Divisional Commissioner Raj Shekhar visited the village and inquired about the matter. Officials said that the local people had met District Magistrate Neha Jain and complained against the head of the concerned family for encroaching on the land of the village society.

Reacting to the incident, the state’s main opposition Samajwadi Party said in a tweet that “Yogi ji (Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath) is a murder by your executioner and inhuman administration.” In the same tweet, the SP also said that “Brahmin families are continuously being targeted in the Yogi government. Incidents are happening with Brahmins by choosing them continuously. Along with Dalits-backwards, Brahmins are also becoming targets of atrocities by the BJP-ruled Yogi government.” SP President Akhilesh Yadav has also re-tweeted this tweet of the party.
