Uttar Pradesh: Drishyam-like murder terrifies Ghaziabad ! Woman murders husband, buries the body beneath septic tank

Uttar Pradesh: The Ghaziabad Police on Saturday solved a murder case that was strangely reminiscent of the film Drishyam. Police claim that a woman killed her husband with the help of her lover and a friend. On order to hide the murder, the accused later buried the body in a building site and constructed a septic tank there.

Drishyam like murder in Ghaziabad

The corpse was discovered at the Bisrakh building site on Saturday after the lady, Neetu, and her lover, Harpal, were both taken into custody. Police are searching for Gaurav, a mason who is the third accused.

The investigation started on January 10 when the deceased’s brother Chhotelal reported his brother missing to the police. For more than a week, Chhotelal’s brother had been gone. The deceased’s wife, Neetu, was then questioned by the police since she had not yet reported her husband’s disappearance despite it having been over a week. However, the detectives scarcely discovered any leads.

The police then began pursuing Harpal, a frequent visitor to Neetu and Satish who lived in Gaur City. After being questioned for a while, Harpal finally broke down and confessed to killing Satish with the assistance of Neetu and Gaurav. According to the investigation’s results. Neetu and Harpal wanted a marriage and had a strong affection for one another.

Hid the body below a septic tank

Harpal, a mason by profession, intended to murder Satish with Neetu’s assistance and bury the body in the nearby property. Gaurav’s help for for the crime by Satish. On the land, both had begun constructing a home. Satish was poisoned on January 2 and afterwards strangled to death by Neetu. In order to hide the crime, the accused wife and Harpal dug a grave for the deceased in the area where they used to labour and covered it with a septic tank.

Under sections 302 (murder), 201 (making an offense’s evidence vanish or providing false information to screen the perpetrator), 34 (common intention), and 120B (criminal conspiracy), a FIR was filed against them. The police, however, made it clear that although the crime was similar to one in the film “Drishyam,” the accused did not get their inspiration from it.
