Apple Pencil: Apple products are popular with consumers, yet it is undeniable that their costs are high. Although the corporation has produced reasonably priced gadgets like the 9th generation iPad to address this issue, it is insufficient. For instance, in order to fully utilize the features of the iPad, the buyer must also purchase a Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. Unfortunately, the prices of these devices are also extremely high. However, according to rumors, The tech giant tried to develop a less expensive stylus that would solve this issue but gave up at the last minute.

Plans for the $50 Apple Pencil
Despite having started mass production, a $50 version of the Apple Pencil was reportedly abandoned by the company. According to rumors, this iteration of the pencil supported iPhones and would have addressed one of the major issues with the 10th-generation iPad. As you are aware, the affordable iPad now charges via USB-C, but the compatible Apple Pencil relies on lightning, forcing the purchase of an additional $9 adaptor (sold separately).
According to the source, Apple was preparing to unveil a new stylus, code-named “Marker,” at its September iPhone 14 event. This item was apparently priced at roughly $49 by Apple, making it considerably less expensive than the original Pencil and the Pencil 2. The cost of recent models is currently $129 and $99.
Inexpensive Pencil’s Features
Unfortunately, we would lose several functionalities as a result of its reasonable price. It appears that the inexpensive stylus lacked battery or pressure-sensing components. The business created a chip that would be used to power the stylus via the screen in its place.
Additionally, it was intended to work with iPhones. Other Apple Pencil models, regrettably, did not function on smartphone screens. Unfortunately, this product was canceled for an undisclosed cause.
